One on One Training
For a personal dog training experience from the comfort of your own home, in-home training or trainer-only training sessions with Sophie or Sarah are more often than not the best place to start.
One on One Training | from $330
If you’re not sure where to start with training your dog, this is it.
You might be right at the beginning with a new addition and hoping to set things up right from the start. You might need some guidance with the basics like recall and loose lead walking, or be struggling with a nervy or reactive dog, or finding it hard to train around real world distractions. Whatever it is, we will come to you, listen, and observe what’s currently happening.
From there, we’ll work with you to create a clear, practical training plan and show you how to build and reinforce great behaviours using positive, reward-based training. Our focus is on giving you the skills and confidence to succeed long term.
This is a minimum three-session service. Price includes three initial sessions, written notes, email support throughout, admin, and travel.
Additional in-home sessions – $110 each
Behaviour Assessment & Consultation | $320
For dogs experiencing more complex behavioural challenges, this is the most appropriate place to start.
Unlike One-on-One Training, which focuses on teaching skills and coaching you through training in real time, a Behaviour Assessment & Consultation takes a deeper, more comprehensive look at why your dog is behaving the way they are. This allows us to create a clear, structured plan for meaningful, long-term change.
This service is led by Sophie and is ideal for dogs showing behaviours such as reactivity, anxiety, fear-based responses, or anything that feels overwhelming or difficult to manage.
During your session, we take a thorough look at your dog’s history, environment, triggers, and emotional responses. From there, we develop a tailored behaviour plan designed to give you clarity, confidence, and practical next steps.
Your consultation includes:
- 1 x 90-minute in-home assessment with Sophie
- A comprehensive review of your dog’s behaviour, history, and environment
- A detailed, personalised written plan with management and training strategies
- One follow-up check-in to support you as you begin implementing the plan
Following your consultation, you’ll have a clear pathway forward, with the option to continue support through:
- One-on-One Training (hands-on coaching), or
- Trainer-Only Training (we take the lead on training)
As Sophie continues advanced study towards Behaviour Consultant accreditation, a limited number of consultations are currently offered at an introductory rate
Trainer-Only Training | from $630
You might feel like your dog’s behaviour is a bit out of your depth, or maybe you simply don’t have the time or confidence to get the training underway yourself. That’s where we step in. With Trainer-Only Training, we start the training for you.
After an initial consult (including history taking, information gathering, and goal setting), we’ll take your dog out and about over 4 weekly sessions. We begin by building strong foundations and learning what motivates your dog, then start introducing and reinforcing new, positive behaviours in real world environments.
You’ll receive weekly updates along with a written plan, so you can see your dog’s progress. In the final transfer session, we’ll walk you through everything we’ve done and coach you on how to continue the training at home.
Prices include 1 x 60-minute initial consult, 4 x trainer-only sessions, 1 x 60-minute transfer session, email support throughout, admin, and travel.
Additional trainer-only or transfer sessions – $110 each
For existing clients known to Sophie or Sarah, the $100 initial consult fee will be deducted
Puppy Socialisation | from $495
Here at Real World Canine, we are so passionate about setting puppies up for success right from day dot. Many people don’t realise how crucial the 3–16 week window is, and how much it shapes the behaviours your dog will show as an adult. If you don’t have the time or confidence to safely expose your pup to the world, we’re here to help.
Alongside starting basic training, we’ll take your puppy on safe, structured outings to pet stores, the beach, around people, bikes, cars, other animals, and well-matched dogs to help build confidence and resilience in our human world.
Package includes:
- 1 x 10-minute meet and greet
- 4 x trainer-only sessions/outings
- 1 x 30-minute in-home consult at the end
- Optional Puppy Play & Train add-on (+$180)
This package is for puppies aged 12–16 weeks (or after their 2nd vaccination). Limited to two spots at a time and requires commitment.
Walk & Train | $360
As a follow-on from In-Home, Trainer-Only, and/or Puppy Socialisation, we offer ongoing Walk & Train sessions.
These 60-minute sessions are designed to continue building on the training already established in your plan, ensuring consistency and continued progress.
Sessions are booked in blocks of 4 and are trainer-only style, held weekly or fortnightly. A brief update will be provided either in person or via email after each session.
