Puppy Play and Train | 8-16 weeks old | $180 incl GST

Got a new puppy? This is the best place to start.

Our Puppy Play & Train classes are designed for pups aged 8–16 weeks (with at least one vaccination) and are held in Te Horo Beach. This is a crucial stage in your puppy’s development, and these classes are all about setting you both up for success.

Led by Sophie, an IAABC Accredited Dog Trainer, our classes focus on safe, positive socialisation and real world exposure, helping your puppy build confidence and resilience while learning to navigate the world around them.

You’ll also receive access to an in-depth pre-recorded session covering everything you need to know in those early weeks – think puppy biting, toilet training, early separation, and preventing problem behaviours – as well as training cards and comprehensive follow up notes

Across the 4 in-person classes, we build on this foundation with:

  • Lead walking and recall
  • Safe socialisation
  • Preventing resource guarding
  • Basic cues like sit and down
  • Handling and grooming
  • Confidence building and play

It really is the best start for you and your pup.

Next class starts: Sunday June 7th 2pm, Sunday July 19th 2pm

Tweens | 17 weeks – 11 months old | $160 incl GST

The perfect follow-on from Puppy Play & Train — or a great starting point if you missed puppy classes.

After socialisation comes structure. These classes focus on building reliable, everyday skills while helping you understand how to apply training in real life.

Prior to attending, you’ll receive a pre-recorded video (approx. 60 minutes) covering how dogs learn and how to train effectively – setting you up for success in class. You also receive training cards and comprehensive follow up notes after each class

In these classes, you’ll work on:

  • Core skills like down, come, leave, drop, stay, and wait
  • Applying training in real-life situations
  • Building engagement and focus
  • Setting clear expectations for your dog

Next class starts: June 7th 3:15pm

Teens | 9 months – 1 year 11 months old | $160 incl GST

Teenagers… we get it.

This stage can feel like a step backwards—testing boundaries, selective hearing, and big emotions. But it’s also one of the most important times to stay consistent with training.

These classes are designed to guide you through the “teenage phase” with practical tools and support.

Prior to attending, you’ll receive a pre-recorded video (approx. 60 minutes) explaining why adolescent dogs behave the way they do, and how to work with them, not against them. You will also receive training cards and comprehensive follow up notes after each class

Focus areas include:

  • Preventing and managing reactivity
  • Lead manners and engagement
  • Training around distractions
  • Confidence building
  • Mental stimulation

Next class starts: Sunday 14th June 4:30pm

Adult Dogs Level 1 | 2 years old and over | $160 incl GST

Whether you’ve trained with Real World Canine before or not, this class is a great entry point for adult dogs. We focus on strengthening core skills and introducing real-world challenges, including working around distance and distractions.

Prior to attending, you’ll receive a pre-recorded video (approx. 60 minutes) covering key considerations for training adult dogs. After each class you will receive comprehensive follow up notes
